Here’s hoping you’ve had a wonderful Veteran’s Day holiday of blessings and cheer, and also observance of our wonderful veterans and men and women in the armed services!
I thought I would share this video I put together in honor of my husband, Frank (City Boy), as well as many, many other service men and women and their families, who gave so very much of themselves for this country.
Have a wonderful, peaceful night, and a great day tomorrow!

Very moving poem, and I’m so glad you shared it here, Jason! My husband and children will certainly relate as well! I married my husband after he had retired from the military, and my father was already out of the navy before he and my mother married, so it would be unfair of me to say I totally understand what families go through with family members in the service. From hearing Frank’s family and Frank talk about it, I just want to cry sometimes — I am so grateful for the sacrifices so many have made, and I stand in awe of members of the military and their families! Thank you so much for your service and for stopping by here, Jason — I am honored!
Becky, thank you for sharing your story with me, and thank you for your service. I truly believe the families have the hardest job. Please share with others you know who can relate.
I sure will do that, Jason!
Nice to see you posting again Becky ! The video was awesome, I have never heard this song before but it was a powerful song and very fitting, I actually got goose pimples. Yesterday I was flooded by emotions, sadly most of them unpleasant. Its just something I undergo every year but the video did lift my spirits, thanks for posting this.
So glad your spirits were lifted a bit, but hate that you suffered some depressing emotions, Bob — I just can’t imagine the emotions people of the military must face the rest of their lives; it takes my breath away. The song was written and performed by a country group named Branded — they sang at our church in Dallas several years back and they also perform at many military functions, so this song was a wonderful tribute to our fighting men and women. As always, I hope to get my act together and post more — this time of the year is always the busiest for everybody, lol!
We didi have a wonderful Veteran’s day! Hope you had a great day too! Love the video!
Thanks so much, Jasmine! I’m so glad you had a great Veteran’s Day, too!
I did I only had to yell at my husband once LOL!!!
Well, that made it a good day for you and him both, LOL! I try not to get after mine, but sometimes I do. Husbands are the greatest, though!
They are ! Mine is especially hot and smart! He’s quite the catch but he’s a man and unfortunately for him that means he says stupid stuff sometimes.
Lol, I totally understand!
